Mission

“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
-Philippians 2:3-4

At PPC, we believe that mission is who we are as part of the body of Christ in the world. We realize that the mission field is everywhere and that we are called to serve others as Jesus did.

Refugee Resettlement

PPC works with World Relief to support refugee resettlement. We have a Good Neighbor Team (GNT) that works directly with a family.

Learn more about World Relief Western New York.

Local resettlement efforts partner with Saint’s Place to collect household goods, clothing, and furniture.

You may reach out to Saint’s Place for details about how to donate and to find out the current list of most-needed items.

Catholic Family Services is involved in resettling many more refugees and PPC will continue to support this mission.

5th Sunday of the month Meals

Each 5th Sunday of the month, PPC prepares, packages, and delivers meals to Perinton residents who are part of the monthly meal program organized by Fairport United Methodist Church.

PEM-EMP Ministries

Perinton Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. and Ecumenical Ministries of Perinton, Inc. are owned by 13 Perinton churches. Each church appoints one person to represent them and to serve on the board of directors of each corporation.

The following are a few of the ministries that benefit from this joint effort:

  • Advent House is a comfort care home that provides an alternative living arrangement for the terminally ill when they can no longer be cared for in their own home.
  • Willow Domestic Violence Center is an organization committed to preventing domestic violence and to ensuring access to services and support for survivors along the journey to a safe and empowered life.
  • Flower City Habitat for Humanity raises funds and recruits volunteers to build homes for the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Monroe County. The goal is to eliminate substandard housing and poverty in Rochester.
  • Food Collection: Our congregation is always accepting food donations for the Perinton Food Shelf. Boxes are located in the Narthex near the front door. We make Christmas Baskets each year as well.
