Christian Education encompasses many varied activities at Perinton Presbyterian Church to meet the needs of our church family. We are guided by our church vision statement, which is “to build connections to Jesus, share His love, and become more faithful in our discipleship.” Our program offerings include:
Church school meets most Sundays during the school year at 9:30 in the lower level of the church. Check the calendar for those Sundays when there is no church school. Classes for children age three through sixth grade focus on hands-on learning and fellowship. Sherri Frederick and Jonelle Kohl are the coordinators. Church School Blog
Confirmation Class – Seventh and Eighth graders participate in a year-long program, which concludes with an opportunity to profess faith in Jesus and become full members of the church. Over the course of three weekend retreats, members of the program are guided through the essentials of the Christian faith by volunteer teachers. If you are interested in the Confirmation Program, please contact Danny Peters.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Family Advent Workshop on December 4th – Over 35 families made paper advent wreaths.
Christmas Eve Service – students ages 4 through high school led the congregation through music, worship and the Nativity story.
Palm Sunday Fair – Over 40 families enjoyed games developed by each class, crafts and refreshments on the Sunday which begins Holy Week celebrating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Adult classes meet during the church school hour. Generally, one focuses on Bible study, the other Christian life topics.

Vacation Bible School
Each August children ages 3 through fifth grade participate in a week long program. Older students volunteer to assist the adults leading Bible study, craft, games, and music.
The CE Committee believes that if we are truly living our PPC mission we should be developing life-long skills that provide a basis for a Christian life in all members of the church. These include:
