Children

Each Sunday during the school year, we offer a Christian Education (CE) hour from 9:30-10:30am.

Sunday School: for children ages 3 to 6th grade. Classes are led by a team of caring adults. Children learn the Bible through meaningful and age-appropriate activities.

PPC uses the Spark Classroom curriculum for our pre-K through sixth grade classes. Each week, students are engaged in Bible stories with activities, interactive games, and creative crafts which helps kids navigate the story and relate what they’ve learned to their own life.

Vacation Bible School (VBS): for children in Pre-K/Kindergarten to 6th grade. Over the summer, children from our congregation and the local community have the opportunity to participate in a week-long program that features a different, fun theme each year. Older students are welcome to volunteer to help adults with Bible lessons, crafts, music, and games.

Our CE Committee offers special family events such as the Palm Sunday fair and the family Advent project. Bibles are gifted to all 3rd graders.

Children are warmly welcomed in all worship services. Our 8:30am service is specifically tailored to families with young children. We offer activity sheets and coloring pages that tie in to the service. Hymns are simple and repeated often to allow children to participate more fully in worship. Children’s bulletins are also available for ages 3 and older and are distributed as you enter the sanctuary.

For those times when a child might need a break, we have a “Giggle Room” at the back of the sanctuary. Parents can sit comfortably with restless little ones and still hear and see the service. Breastfeeding moms are welcome. If you prefer privacy, we have other areas where you can nurse your baby.
