Blessings to you all this Thanksgiving week! I pray that as you celebrate this holiday, you will be encouraged as you see many things in your life for which to give thanks. Above all else, we give thanks for the faithfulness of God, who never leaves us or forsakes us. We see this truth most clearly in the incarnation of God in Christ Jesus.
This Advent, which begins on Sunday, we will be pondering the question, “What Child IS This”—who really IS Jesus? We will consider the words of the powerful, much-loved carol, “What Child Is This?” going deep into the true meaning of this season. You can get a feel for our Advent theme with this series trailer.
Advent is a wonderful time to renew our connection to God and to the church. I would love to see each of you this Sunday, and we rejoice in the opportunity we have to bless quilts made by our quilting group, that will be going to families at the Ronald McDonald House.
This Sunday we will also be welcoming our new Director of Music Ministry Dr. Raul Munguia and his wife Denissa! Join us to meet them, and after the 11am service for a welcome reception with cake hosted by our deacons.
