Spiritual Gifts

Dear PPC family,

What incredible energy and activity we have going on here at PPC! From Jim Carbone coming to be with us, to the Holiday Bazaar, to the Color Works Temperament training at the end of the month, there is no shortage of ways to get involved at PPC.

This week in worship we will be exploring the theme of spiritual gifts. And I’d like to lift up some gifts I’ve seen at work here at PPC:

– All of the people who make worship happen – from lay readers, to musicians, to singers, to preachers, to ushers, to our AV team. It takes all of us to make worship come alive on a Sunday morning. Thanks be to God for this amazing team.

– All of the people who care for our building and grounds – this wonderful building is taken care of by so many who offer their time and talent. From small fix it jobs, to major repairs, we can thank our Facilities team for all of their hard work to make this building a place where we can continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

– All of our committee members – to all of the folks who dedicate their time to the work of all of our committees, we give thanks. From Outreach, to Church Life, to Christian Ed, to Finance, to Worship. So many areas of our church life are led by these intrepid teams who work hard to ensure that our programming and spending are in alignment with the mission of PPC.

-The staff – we are blessed with an incredible staff of dedicated individuals who each step up in their own unique ways to ensure that business continues as usual here at PPC.

– All of the pray-ers – we give thanks for all of the people who dedicate their time to prayer and intercession for our church family. These prayers keep us centered in Christ and lead us into action to care for our church family and world.

– For our church leaders – for our session and deacons, we give thanks. We are blessed with faithful, wise leaders who give of themselves in ways big and small as we strive to love God and love others.

We wouldn’t be the church without everyone who contributes to our life and mission. If you are interested in joining in, please know there is a place for you to contribute your spiritual gifts, whatever they may be! We need you—your gifts, your skills, your heart—to continue to do the good work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ here at PPC.

Thanks be to God for the gifts God has given to each and every one of us. May we continue to use them wisely and freely for the advancement of the kingdom of God.

Peace,
Pastor Nadia
