A Harvest of Blessing

This week we conclude our Generosity Season theme and 2026 pledge drive. Thank you so much to everyone who has already made a pledge of support to PPC for the coming year. Thank you as well to those preparing to make a pledge. Together our commitment to support the ministry of PPC witnesses to our love for God, our faith in Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This Sunday we’ll hear Paul’s words calling upon and inspiring church members in the ancient city of Corinth to serve the Lord faithfully with their gifts. Paul urges them to sow generously and thus reap an abundant harvest of blessing. This passage is an early example of the believers applying Jesus’ instructions on generosity to their ministry as a church.

As we come to the final part of our series, “Give First, Save Second, Live on the Rest” we will consider what it looks like to truly live, not just merely exist, but to be fully ALIVE with faith, peace, and joy, taking hold of the life that really is life.

We have a feast of life celebration planned for worship, as we dedicate pledges, receive new members, share the Sacrament of Communion, hear special music, and honor the saints of faith who have come before us.

Since it is the first Sunday of the month, we will be livestreaming the 8:30am service instead of the 11am. If you worship with us online, you will be able to watch the 8:30am service at your regular worship time. The 11am service will be followed by refreshments, hosted by the deacons. I look forward to seeing you Sunday!

God’s peace,
Pastor Laura
