During Lent we have been making our way through a season of Holy Awe, exploring themes of beauty, wonder, curiosity, meaning, delight, connection, and now, self-giving. April 13 is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, which is the most awe-worthy week of the entire Christian year, as together we marvel at the crowd shouting “Hosanna!”, meaning “Save us!”, the bread and cup shared in an upper room, the death of Jesus on the cross, and the glory of the empty Easter tomb.
I urge you to come join us in person for one or more of these Holy Week and Easter services. I especially invite you if you are someone who usually worships from home: come be with us in person this week! Remember those powerful words we heard this past Sunday: “A collective assembly can start to heal the wounds of a traumatized community.”
Come and experience collective, holy, healing awe with God’s people at PPC.
“Hosanna! Save us, O God! Hosanna to the Son of David!”
