This Sunday we conclude our “Good News Travels Fast” worship series on the spread of the gospel through the Book of Acts. We’ll hear an incredible story from Acts 16:16-34 that immediately follows the story of Lydia’s conversation in Philippi. This Sunday’s passage once again testifies to God’s miracle-working power, and the great things God can do that are far beyond our human capabilities. This story also lifts up the power of praising God, especially in hard times: severely beaten and in prison, Paul and Silas prayed and sang with such joy and conviction that other prisoners encountered the good news of Jesus Christ in that dark, isolated, and immensely difficult place. We’ll explore the power of praise, even in challenging seasons of our lives.
Also on Sunday we’ll be welcoming 5 new adult members to PPC, bringing our total new members for the first half of this year to an astonishing 22! Praise God, who can do far more than all we can ask or imagine.
