Mission Update

Here’s the latest on our Lenten mission project – Habitat for Humanity. Our current home, under construction at 108 Ackerman in Rochester’s Beechwood neighborhood, is nearing completion, and we will be dedicating the home on May 17th. We are very excited to share this dedication with Tatyana, the homeowner, as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Ackerman is the first home we’ve built as part of the Greater Rochester Interfaith Builders. Because of the combined resources of this group, we are ready to immediately start work on our next house. We will be breaking ground at 207 Melville St. in June, and volunteer opportunities will begin shortly after that.  We are planning for a PPC construction day some time over the summer. More details will be provided soon.
